Is cornell always need-blind for international students?

or do they start practicing need-blind for international students this year (for '15)

I believe they don’t even know whether you’re applying for financial aid. If you remember the application, there was no financial aid checkbox.

I believe so. I do not have the link but I did see somewhere that says Cornell is need-blind for all, including international students.

However, financial aid for international students is limited, meaning only a few receive it.

3rd question down (: Cornell is need-blind, even for internationals.
I also just checked Common App. Cornell didn’t ask if you were applying for finaid.

Horray for us internationals!

BUT…i will be very sad if i happen to get accepted but not receive aid cause then i cant goooo

but…ill worry aobut that later lol

Cornell is need-blind financial aid to all accepted students, just like the rest of the Ivy League schools.

^Most Ivies are need-blind for internationals, but Brown is need-aware for us ):

please read ComeGraduation’s post again - admissions is need-blind but FinAid in NOT guaranteed for Int’l…

Cornell is need-blind for admissions. But not all international accepted students who asked for financial aid will get it. I know many international students who got in ED for the class of 15 and those who got in RD for the class of 14 got no aid at all.

Some people think international need-aware Ivies (Columbia, Brown, Penn) are better since they meet full need of those internationals who are admitted. It will be quite painful to know that you are admitted, but without any aid at all (which happens to a lot of people I know ): ).

^I know. That’s what I’m scared of ): I think my family definitely qualifies for financial aid though (total income is less than 40k). I’m international. The main thing is to get in first. I’ll worry about finaid later haha

I know (think) that Dartmouth is need blind for internationals and if you get in they meet your needs regardless
