I really , really don't think you guys want to keep giving legs to yet another negative thread dumped into this forum. OP can look up the stats themself, there is no point to this. There are many great aspects to Cornell, it is more selective than most schools in this great nation, less selective than some. Whether you get in, who knows.

Since you are right Moneydad, and because Cornell really does stand on its own, this will be my last post in this unnecessary thread.

The next question is why are you, as a proud Cornellian, somewhat indifferent.

Because I would feel the same about Cornell regardless of its selectivity. The problem with people on this forum and CC in general is that they overvalue selectivity. Cornellians are always trying to explain Cornell's selectivity. It is still damn selective. But it is, as a whole, the least selective in the Ivy League. So what? Selectivity means little. Let's concede that it's the least selective and move on to a more interesting discussion/question.

What a condescending question. Who cares? What about the quality of education? The college experience?

Any Ivy is not easy to get into leave it at that. Stop making UTTERLY pointless crap.....

the answer is NO

we have to look at what he asked

"reputed" yes...that is what people talk about when describing cornell and ivy league admissions in general...
