pretty high performing school in NJ (in top 1000 of all high schools in country)

and I'm black (just throwing that in there)
what are my chances of getting into Cornell?

With your relationship to Obama, you’re a shoe-in.

I had very similiar stats as yours and was Waitlisted. Good luck!

What exactly were your stats may I ask?

I did only slightly better on the Math and Writing. I think people need to try and stand out with their essays and write something special to be noticed. So many applicants and so few spaces. Cornell is great , but there are other really wonderful schools too!

Did you get accepted?

Nope, I never got taken off the waitlist.

You should definitely try to bring up your SAT scores. Do you have an AP classes or hard course material?

All AP and advanced classes
