Is CSS file required?

<p>i just completed my FAFSA,and now hands free, so i was wondering if i need to complete CSS file... cuz its pretty darn expensive.(duh ,its CB! they charge everything)</p>

<p>i have some colleges in CB's list that use CSS profile, so i was wondering if i really have to complete this?</p>

<p>no biggie, just wondering.. hehe.</p>

<p>If the college REQUIRES the Profile..you have do DO the profile. Some schools will not process a financial aid application AT ALL unless you do file ALL required financial aid aps (including Profile if that is a requirement).</p>

<p>Profile asks for info that FAFSA doesn't, like equity in home, for example. You'll need to send both.</p>

<p>I think some of the CSS schools have their own optional forms to fill out in leu of the college board. This option will allow you to submit the information directly to the school and avoid enriching college board again. Check on the individual school web sites.</p>
