Is "English 10 Gate" Honors on UC App Academic History?

Might be a stupid question buuuuuut:

I took “English 10 Gate” in tenth grade second semester after switching from regular English in the first semester. I was doing my academic history section for 10th grade on my UC application, and my question is: is “English 10 Gate” considered Honors? On my transcript, there is a “G” mark next to the course, and at the bottom of my transcript is “G = GATE” and right next to that is “H = Honors”. I heard that Gate is honors, but the course has a “G”, not an “H”, listed next to it, so…I’m not really sure. Yeah.

No 10th grade English Honors/Gate is not considered an Honors class by the UC’s. If you are unsure which classes at your HS are considered Honors, you can look up your HS courses here:

Type in the name of your HS and all a-g courses will be listed. The UC approved Honors, AP/IB classes will be designated with a Yellow Star. https://hs-articulation.ucop.edu/agcourselist

Any HS can designated courses as “honors” but only the UC approved courses will get the extra weighting.
