I am transferring from a school where everyone was in a fraternity or a sorority and if you weren't interested in joining one, there wasn't much else to do. Are most people at USC in a frat or sorority?

New Trojan,
At SC only 17% of students are in what you would call the “social” NPC and IFC organizations. There are many other Greek organizations on campus which have a basis on service, ethnicity or religion. Over 600 clubs and 80 religious groups are available.

Coming from a much smaller college in suburbia you are going to discover at an urban major research university your cultural, sports, academic, social and leisure options become almost unlimited. Greek life is an option, but it is one of many choices.

Go to the USC website and check out the calendars for the various schools at SC during the academic year. You will find receptions, film previews, lectures, plays, recitals, concerts, opera productions, sports events, art exhibitions and Visions and Voices…all on campus.

No, most students at SC are not in a “social” fraternity or sorority.

Thanks so much!
