HOWEVER, the odds are stacked against you due to your ethnicity and gender. Yes, it’s wrong, but it’s the reality so shrug it off and work the system with that knowledge in hand. Your application needs to have a narrative. If someone (admissions officer or otherwise) were to read it, they should leave with the impression of what you’re passionate about and why, what you do to pursue that passion, how you’ve made the most of your opportunities, and what traits you have that are assets to the colleges smart enough to snatch you up. THAT is the secret to college apps that no one wants to hear/few take head of. Once you have the numbers (2100+, 32+, 3.7+) the qualitative elements get the committee to raise their hands in favor of admitting you.
