Really, are only grades matter and test scores? Because in the real world, it is.

Uh in the real world there aren’t really grades or test scores.

There’s also of course the ever-present saying, “It’s not what you know but who you know.”

I meant as in applying to colleges or grad school or just learning.

Also that quote is only for Politics isn’t it?

Grammar matter too.

Why must people on the Internet correct other people’s grammar?

^lol

Talking with my parents, grades used to be way more important in college. Top grades would get research positions/jobs, scholarships, spots on prestigious journals, dinner with the professor, etc. It’s not so exclusive anymore, likely due to a change in culture, in that theoretically a lot of students can get these things. However, today it’s more about being proactive. The students who go to office hours, who talk with the professor after class, who make sure conversations aren’t awkward, whatever are the ones who make out like bandits.

So no, they are not all that matters.

Internships, learning to be proactive, and learning how to communicate well are more important than grades and test scores. Of course if you can commuinicate well and are proactive, your grades will be good.

How? Why? What!?

Oh btw I was lol’ing to IAmPos, not you Holden888. Which should be clear, because what you (Holden) said wasn’t funny. Jeez what a lame attempt at a joke.

Wait, is it “matters”?
