Is having a double major of any importance? (international student)

Hello,

I'm currently studying mathematics and physics at the University of Zagreb in Croatia (I'm taking a double major). However, this is turning out to be quite time consuming and I don't think i will have much time for scientific projects, internships and other things that interest me.

I was just wondering if having a double major (from a basically unknown university) is of any importance when applying to Grad schools?

For your prompt reply I thank you in advance

I would say research and GPA are the most important factors. If your double major has prevented you from getting into research or internships, it is my advice to pick one of the majors and get in as much undergrad. research as you can before you apply to grad school. A double major will most likely mean very little to a committee if you have no research experience.
