Is it a big deal if I don't have this award?

I missed the PSAT last year, and I didn't know I could still qualify for the competition. Is it a big deal to top universities that I didn't get this award even though my regular SAT score is decent (2300)?

Lots of kids with high SAT scores aren’t NMF. Colleges aren’t going to care. No one is going to reject you just because you aren’t a NMF.

wildcat0…You’ll be fine. Assuming the rest of your stats are comparable to your SAT score, you’ll have no problem getting accepted into the VAST majority of universities. If you’re interested in Ivy/near Ivy you’d certainly be competitive, but it would be the same crap shoot as everyone else to applies to these schools. BTW…I’d be willing to bet about 99% of other college applicants would be more than happy to trade their SAT score for your “decent” 2300. Congrats on your OUTSTANDING score, and good luck in your college search!!

Thanks for the replies!
