Is it a disadvantage next year if we don't accept loans?

<p>I am gonna accept all loans except the parent loans cuz i think the interest rate is too high for my parents to pay back later.</p>

<p>I heard that if we don't accept loans, the financial aid will decrease next year because the financial office thinks that my parents can pay tuition without the aid.
Is it true?
My parents plus loan is almost $6000. thank you~</p>

<p>I don’t think so. I was offered the parent loan last year but didn’t accept it, and this year my financial aid package actually went up.</p>
