Is it bad that I didn't take 2 years of AP history and 1 year of AP english for engineering?

Im applying mainly to engineering majors except for berkeley which i'm applying to computer science in L&S. My school offers 10 APs and I took

AP Bio
AP Physics 1
AP English Lang
AP USH
AP Statistics
AP Calculus AB
AP Environmental Science

APs I didnt take:
AP Eng Lit
AP Gov/econ
AP Euro

If I am applying to mostly engineering schools, will it have a bad impact?

No… you took 7 APs, how could that ever be a problem! (quit with the humble brag) You don’t need to take every single AP offered- no school expects that. You should take the most rigorous schedule you can while still succeeding and taking what you are interested in.

Note that Berkeley L&S allows a 4 or higher on either AP English test to fulfill one semester of the reading and composition requirement, but fulfilling the second semester requires a 5 on AP English literature.

@guineagirl96 the reason I ask is that for the top 50 students in my class, it’s kind of the norm to take AP english and History whenever possible; but then again no one really took as many math and science classes as I did.

@ucbalumnus Reading isn’t my thing so I probably wouldn’t have gotten a 5 on the exam if I took it. I got a 4 on comp though.
