If I were to score above 750 on three subject tests, does it look bad to also have lower scores on the sat report as well? I am going to take math IIc, biology, and literature, and I can hopefully get above 700 on each, but last year i took world history with almost no prep and got a very low score. In other words, do colleges at all look at subject scores other than your top three?

it depends from school to school. I'd recommend going to specific schools websites to find out more. For example, some schools will say that Sat II's can only help you... cuz they are not required... or they look only at your top 1/2/3 scores. There might even be some that look at all tests you took.

if you can do good on them, take them

if you can't, don't

you can take as many tests as you want but there's no point if you're just gonna do bad on them

Well, there's nothing you can do about that bad score now, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

And really, I seriously doubt it would be a major detriment. Especially if you have three that are excellent, that's the most schools generally look at.

I second pinnipotto.
