Is it better in person or in email?

To ask to reconsider FA?
Just in case I have to, because I'm going to an open house soon.

I have limited experience with this as my daughter only applied to one school, early decision, however I have had several questions arise since we received the financial aid package. I sent an email twice and called a few times as well. The phone call provided an immediate answer while the email was not responded to for several days (and then didn’t answer my question fully so I ended up calling anyway). I always think a phone call is better than an email.

If you’re going there anyway…make an appointment to see a financial aid person IN person.

Ok, I will do that.
The problem is my actual guardians won’t be there, so I’d have to talk to them myself and idk what to say.

I actually think that it is better coming from you than the adults. tell the school why you want to go there, why they are a great school for you, and what YOU will bring to the school. and say that you may not be able to go there unless the financial aid package is higher. Do you have a better scholarship from another school to tell them about? But, focus on telling them why they should want YOU. almost better than parents negotiating with them, in my humble opinion.

Yeah, I’m going to explain my situation and maybe they’ll understand. If not, at least I tried. But the school seems nice for some reason so I have a feeling things will turn out good.

Plus its hard for people to say no to me in person, I look so little and helpless. haha idk maybe that could help too?

But Idk because I’m going to an Open House at the school and they said FA adviser’s would be there. So I guess I just start talking to one?? Idk how to start asking! (I’m really shy) lol
