Should one take more APs junior year than senior year? For example, what if you took 5 APs junior year but only 4 APs senior year? Since most UCs only count 10th and 11th grade grades, it would be better to pile up more APs junior year right? So what if your school offered 6 APs? and you took all 6 junior year? Would that "look" good to adcoms?

There are several factors I would consider. For one thing, do you really want the next (assuming) two years to be so unbalanced? Unless you plan to self-study more APs senior year...And remember, colleges know exactly how many AP classes are offered at your high school. By the time you apply senior year and submit your mid-year grade report, they'll know you'll have taken all of them.

And also, does your school give added weight to AP courses? Looking at your GPA for separate school years, it might be that your senior year GPA will be much lower than that of your junior year, if you're all-AP junior year and all-regular senior year.

You can always take 4 this year, and 2 next year.

Just some thoughts.

I am (hopefully if they get my schedule fixed) taking 5 Junior year and 4 Senior year.

This is really because of how my schedule works though. By the end of senior year I will have finished all offered APs in the school except Calc BC (I'm taking Calc AB), Physics C (I'm taking Physics B), AP Biology, and AP Chemistry (I'm not at all interested in sciences. Art, writing, and history, for me).

If you exhausted your school's offerings there's not really much you can do...? Surely that'll be obvious with your school report.

It's better to take more ap's junior year, imo, because people tend to develop senioritis and give up during AP week of senior year. Taking AP tests and hopefully the AP classes for them will show colleges how well you thrive in class as well as on the exam. I guess taking all the classes would tell the college admissions that you are very eager to learn and loves challenges?

Most people I know take more AP's junior year. The senioritis thing enoknight mention is the major reason, but it's also a good idea because colleges can see your AP scores when you apply.
