Is it even worth it to apply for junior year?

I’m a current sophomore and I’m thinking about applying to bs for next year. Last year I applied but I did so past the due date and to only one school. This was due to COVID and a couple personal reasons. This led me to get waitlisted. Now I have a relatively good grades (but not the best), I have a large amount of ecs, and a good amount of community service and volunteering. Yet I’m questioning whether I should even take the risk and apply considering that junior year is very competitive. Please give me your opinion.

btw if you would like to see my stats to make an accurate assessment please look at my previous topic

My kiddo applied last year to 3 HADES schools as a repeat Junior. She is now at one. It can be worth it IMO.

Here’s a link to your previous thread: Chance me for Blair

Depending on your reasons, it could be “worth it” to apply. What attracted you to Blair? You should also apply to some other schools that also have the qualities that attracted you to Blair.

Yes, there are fewer openings, but you only need 1.

Yes so far I’ve got a small list. Deerfield, Loomis, Blair, Tabor, Frederick Gunn, and maybe Berkshire. A thing that I also forgot to mention is that I would need FA.

May I ask if your daughter needed FA? I’m afraid that if I do decide to apply it might be a negative factor
