is it hard to get into the computer science major?

is it hard? do you have to have the best grades in order to get into the major?

is there a difference in difficulty if you are in CAS or COE?

[CS Major](<a href=“The CS Major | Department of Computer Science”>The CS Major | Department of Computer Science)

It’s not that hard. You need a C in all relevant courses, and at least a 2.5 GPA, which is not too tough to do.

so, as long as you have the prerequisites and the GPA/grades you can get it? are you sure?! isn’t there a limit to the amount of people they can admit into computer science (which is why i have the notion that it is competitive)?

No, they have no set amount of seats.

so is it just like this at Cornell? i know that it is “competitive” to get into computer science at some other colleges.

bumppppppppp

The only difference that I could think of is the requirements that you have to fulfill.

Depending on you mileage, but majoring in CS certainly isn’t easy. Everything requires some hard work :)
