I was looking at the stats on the Haas website...
Average GPA = 3.9 ----- That is crazy.
What if you have like a 3.5 - 3.7 and a strong essay? Any chance?
I'm also going to take Calc 2, Russian, Computer Science, so do they look at course difficulty?

3.9 is an average, but a good indication of whether or not you will get in is comparing your gpa to their average. Sure, if you have compelling cirucmstances, something might happen in your favor, but unless you do really well (and your entire application is fairly strong), transferring to Haas is probably not possible.

Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath getting into Haas from out-of-state, or into any undergrad Berkeley program at all from out-of-state. If you're good enough to get into Berkeley out-of-state, you're probably good enough to get into many of the elite private programs as well.

Haas has the smallest transfer rate of any UC school - 8% get in. It's less for out of state applicants because the UC's are required by law to give preference first to California community college transfers, then to California residents transferring from other schools, then finally if there are any spots left, they take a few out of state students. Last year, just 64 out of state transfers were admitted to the university overallAgain, Haas is much more difficult to transfer into than the University overall ---
Here's a link that will tell you what you need to know if you want to give it a shot: http://www.uga.berkeley.edu/files/Admissions/Transfer_06.pdf

Also be sure to read the specific transfer requirements for Haas, which are more steep than Berkeley overall:
