Is it impossible without international competition?

I was going through some chances of chances thread when I found an interesting topic. Also some bunch of idiots arguing it on a fb group.

The topic is that it is certainly true that you've to compete in international level so that you can make it into these schools:

MIT

Harvard

Stanford

Princeton

Yale

Cornell

Brown

and other Ivy league universities.

So, is it possible for internationals to get into top school with no international awards?

What about someone didn't get a lot of chances of competing?
And had to change 2 school in 3 high school years.

No.

Yes.

People like that get into these institutions every single year. Whether you can is something that none of us can predict.

And stay out of fb groups that are full of idiots, lest you become one yourself.

Haha. You’re right. Happymomof1

they seems to be skeptic about admission committee.

‘ECA means what you’ve done outside classroom that you loved’

passion for something is important, isn’t it?

It is true that adcom will understand that you didn’t compete if you didn’t get opportunity.
