Is it possible to declare major on commonapp for UChicago?

<p>is it possible to declare econ as a major on commonapp when i apply for UChicago? I couldn't find it on my commonapp forms....If not, then how do they know who wants to major in what? Or do i have to reapply some time after i get in to get into a particular major?</p>

<p>To digress a bit, is it possible to EA at UChicago and then ED at say Wharton? Since EA at UChicago is non-restrictive....then that means i can still apply to one school ED right?</p>

<p>There is a field on the Common App where you can fill in your academic interests, but this is not restrictive. You don’t apply to be in a certain major at Chicago. You declare your major at the end of your second year.</p>

<p>Yes, you can do ED and EA with Chicago, as long as the ED is not restrictive. I did ED brown and EA chicago.</p>
