Is it possible to get into medical school if u have been dismissed from an undergrad school once and reapplied to another school and did very well there?
or should i just give up on that
basically is the chance that i will get into medical school?

Tell us more…
how many “bad” credits do you have and in what courses?
What is your current COMBINED GPA?
Did you retake any failed courses?
At a minimum, if your GPA is too low for MD schools, you can apply to DO schools…they allow grade replacement.
I got a d in chemistry 101 and a f in biology,
then i went to community college for a year and transferred to a state school from there.
now my gpa is a 3.5
and i also got 2 d in two literature classes and i retook those as well
No idea about med school admissions, but keep in mind that you will have to present all of your transcripts if you apply to any grad school. For now take things one step at a time and work to get your grades up.
according to your other posst, you’re currently under dismissal for a housing situation. Is this in addition to the poor academic performance originally? You need to stay focused and graduate with any degree at all.
Yes, this is very confusing. Your other posts indicates that you are currently under suspension and are trying to get reinstated. So have you been dismissed once or twice?
To me it reads like you dismissed once, then went to community college and got your GPA up, then transferred to a different school and are now dismissed again. Is that right? If so, I would say medical school doesn’t seem really likely.
Ive been dismissed once and the other posts are for one of my siblings. Im a senior at a state school and im trying to see if it would be worth it if i take the mcat and apply to medical school.
And if you have any inquires or advice to give on my sibling’s behalf, it would be greatly appreciated.
What are DO schools? @mom2collegekids

Osteopathic medical schools have grade replacement policies that only consider the most recently taken grade in a class. Only the new grades are used when computing GPAs. MD programs use every college grade ever earned when computing GPAs. AACOMAS also does not include math coursework as part of your science GPAs.

Whether or not you’d be a viable candidate for osteopathic medical school will depend on your MCAT score, your AACOMAS GPA and sGPA, as well as your ECs and the quality of your LORs.
BTW, if you haven’t shadowed a DO physician, you need to do so since many osteopathic med school require a LOR from a practicing DO.
There are two types of med schools… Allopathic (MD med schools)…and Osteopathic (DO med schools). The graduates of both types are physicians and are as described in WOWMom’s post.
DO schools allow for “grade replacement,” so if you got an F in Bio I and then got an A in Bio I, then a DO school doesn’t count the F at all. However, MD schools will count both so an F and an A will average to a C.
Sounds like you need to apply to DO schools. And, YES, you have to shadow DO physicians.
DO schools are often easier to get into, so really it sounds like these would be best for you to pursue.
