Is it possible to go to an American medical school with a UK undergraduate degree?

Say I have a physiology(pre-med) degree or science related degree from a prestigious UK university, such as Oxford or Cambridge, would I still have to go to North American undergrad again in order to go to a prestigious American medical school?

On Harvard Medical School website, One of the requirements is "Supplemented their education with at least one year of college or university training in the United States or Canada if they have completed academic work outside the United States or Canada. (Foreign students who do not have a baccalaureate or advanced degree from an institution in the United States or Canada are rarely accepted for admission.)"

Any help is appreciated, thanks

I think this would depend on two things
-the content of the course you had studied in the UK
-the US school you wanted to attend.

If I were going to do this, I would contact several US medical schools BEFORE commencing any degree in the UK, to make sure it would be ok. Otherwise it could be a very expensive mistake.
