I am an incoming freshman~
my dad wants me to graduate from UC Davis’s clinical nutrition in 3 years~ is it possible? there are totally 180 credits that i have to complete for that major.
how many classes should i take per quarter and during summer school?

You’ll have to take 5 classes a quarter (maybe 4 in some occasions) to average out 20 units a quarter. You’ll be studying a lot but it is totally do-able. I have a friend who is double-majoring in an L&S major and has already applied to grad school. For summer school, you’ll probably be taking 8 or 12 units, depending on how comfortable you feel. Keep in mind that the more you take in summer session, the less you may have to take in the regular school year.

You need 180 units to graduate with a clinical nutrition? Does that include GE’s? If not, you may need to find some room to take those GEs in order to graduate as well.

It’s been done. Planning out pre-requisites is a big deal. If you need to complete a series of courses that takes four years, you’ll have to jam in some of that series in summer school sessions. Summer sessions cost money. Also, if you go to a different campus close to home for those summer sessions you have to be careful that the classes you are taking are equivalent to those at your home campus. It is probably a good idea to get assurances from your home campus beforehand that the classes will be accepted as equivalent, if you can.

As time goes on and more students are jammed in, it might be harder to get into the classes you need.
