I'm entering senior year with an 84 gpa. I got a 1740 on my June sat of this year and I have been practicing ever since to score higher in October. I'm constantly scoring 1980-2100 on practice tests now, and I belive I can improve my sat score significantly in October. But the thing I'm wondering is if it's too late to raise my gpa. I think an 84 is a 3.3 or 3.4. I'm not going to apply so early descison eithier btw. Do I have chances at Stony Brook or Boston University? ( considering the second sat I take will be a high score, in which hopefully it will if my hard work pays off from the summer).
I can't help but feel incredibly depressed over this : (

Bump 10char

bump… advice would be greatly appreciated guys

im sorta in the same situation, damn i want to know too

Probably not, by the time your applications are sent out 1st semester grades may or may not be factored in. If you get a 4.0 it will make your gpa go up a bit, not much since you’ll have 3 years of grades working against it.

You’re going to have to work really hard and get excellent grades in your first semester. Do you know what your course load looks like?
