Is it worth applying? Please chance me!

I’m sorry this is so long, but I figured the more information the better! I go to a small school and had somewhat limited opportunities - around 70 in my graduating class, made up of 3+ towns, only 5 offered AP classes, few clubs, a stigma against taking college courses. I’ve tried to make best with what I could, but is it even worth applying? Especially considering I would have to study, pay for, and take two subject tests just for this school’s application.

My current list looks something like this:

Tufts (??)
Boston College
Boston University
Northeastern University
Brandeis University
Endicott College
Suffolk University

SAT (first attempt, will be retaking:) 2040, 610 M, 710 CR, 720 W with a 10 E
SAT II: Literature and US History. I think I could do well. I achieved a 5 on my Lit AP exam and a 4 on APUSH, if that is any measure of potential scores.
GPA: 4.0 Weighted, school doesn’t offer unweighted on Transcript
AP: Lit - 5, Lang - 5, World History - 3, US History - 4, school only offers 5 AP classes
Class Rank: 1st or 2nd, not entirely sure, it’s very close

Essays and Recs
I feel pretty confident in both of these things, I have close relationships with multiple teachers and my English teacher and I are both really happy with how my common app essay came out.

MISC

  • Took almost all offered honors/ap classes, if not took equivalent class at local college. My senior year schedule is very full (out of choice, I only need two more credits to graduate) and includes at minimum 4 college classes, including an English class at Bates that is within a program I had to apply/be accepted to.
  • Had nearly all A’s throughout my entire High School career, save for a high B in maybe one or two Science courses

You’re a valedictorian or salutatorian. You’ve good grades, etc. Obviously try to bring up your math SAT a bit and you’d be in good shape there as well. I’d look at the Tufts website regarding admissions. It’s the most open and honest admissions blog I’ve seen anywhere. Look at the sample essays. Understand what they’re looking for. Also understand that at this level of selectivity and beyond, everything’s somewhat of a dice shoot.

That being said, I personally feel you should apply if you feel you’d like to go to Tufts.

Also, as has been said before, if early decision is an option for you, and something you’d like to consider, it clearly increases liklihood of admission.
