Tutoring is great--for the tutor & the students. It helps hone your understanding while you're explaining it to others. It also gives the teachesr a break and lets you connect with folks you wouldn't otherwise meet or connect with. I'd HIGHLY recommend it. I tutored peers all thru school & believe it helped make me a much better student with a far deeper understanding of all the material because I had to explain it well enough to explain it in many different ways to others to help them understand it. Very good life skill, as all your life you'll likely need to be teaching and learning, in school and on the job. If you're really good at it, you may figure out how to make it a part-time or full-time career.

But my 3rd grade math skills dont really need honing

So, Iggi -- it's been four days. What have you done regarding community service?
