So I'm a foreign kid. I'm from Kuwait, but did my college in the states. My parents (who pay my tuition) figured that it's best I go to grad school right after college, that way I don't have to reapply for a US Visa which is difficult to get, being I'm arabic, and I fully understand why they'll be more apprehensive.

So I finished my undergrad in Econ at 21, and got straight to grad school. My college only offers a PhD in Econ (and I wasn't sure if I want a PhD, plus my GPA was 3.3, not really great), so I went for the next similar thing my school offers which was Masters in Public Policy (It's in conjunction with both the Econ department and Political Science).

My first classes were cool, Statistics, Mathematics, Econ.
Then the politics class came and I was overwhelmed. It's a seminar class, we have to discuss issues and write papers, there are no tests, and everybody there had some form of experience, while I had none. I chose the major because it still allows me to use statistics and mathematical concepts to make reports and perform analysis, but if it's more politics than econ and stats, then I may have made a mistake.

Honestly, I don't really have a particular dream job, so any behind the scenes analysis type job with good pay is fine for me, since at least I like stats.

Can anybody with an MPP degree tell me exactly what they spend most of their time doing, analysis or conflict resolution or non profit work?
