Is my dream of being accepted to Harvard over?

Ok, I'm a sophomore and my freshman year weighted GPA was 2.9. (Abysmal I know)

However the 1st trimester of my sophomore has ended with me recieving around an 87 average (3.2)

I'm dedicated at continuing to improve my GPA as well as continue my independent studies outside of school. (learning a 3rd foreign language, programming websites, and distance running)

When I say seriously I mean going from a 2.9 overall GPA I received last year to receiving a 3.5-3.7 overall GPA this year. And even a 3.7-3.9 overall weighted GPA for my junior and senior year.)

I'd also like to mention I'm taking the AP World History test but taking a general World History class and studying for the AP final independently this year.

I'm taking 7 AP classes overall. And by the time I graduate I should be fluent in 3-4 languages.

I know Harvard takes grades very seriously. But if I SERIOUSLY RAISE my grades will I have a chance? I heard if you greatly increase your GPA over your 4 years of high school it'll increase your chances.

The reason I would like to go to Harvard is because I have a strong interest in Harvard's Computer Science Program. But I'm also interested in other subjects such as Astronomy, Medicine, and foreign languages.

Thank you for reading all of this. And thank you for your feedback, I'm really wondering if my freshman year and this trimester really killed my chances.

Anyone? What do you think?

You can apply but by the time you apply the admit rate will be 5%

I would first ask why is it your dream to go to harvard? Would you sacrifice the rest of your high school career to get in(I would not suggest doing this)? But, your chances will significantly improve if you make it to like the International Biology Olympiad. This can be done just by spending hours upon hours of cramming many Bio books. Thats always an option lol.

Yeah, I’m unsure on sacrificing my high school career. But I’m willing to persevere to succeed in my high school career. Is there any other ways of improving my chances? (Doing more independent studies and doing better in my running.)

And yeah texaspg it might.
