Is my schedule rigorous enough?

Hello,

I am a rising senior who will be applying to university soon. I have been planning my schedule for senior year and would appreciate any help in terms of picking classes!

11th:
Algebra 2 Honors
Chem Honors
AP English Language
AP US History

summer:
Pre-Calc Honors
Anatomy/Physiology Honors

12th:
AP Calc AB
AP US Gov/Econ Honors
AP Literature
AP Computer Science Principles
AP Biology
Physics Hon

  • DE class on microbes (microbiology elective)

Also, would it be a bad idea not to take AP Gov? I know that it’s a fairly easy AP, but I’m honestly not that interested in government, politics, history, and how these classes are taught in schools…

For more context, I’m interested in pre-med and computer science.

Also, my target schools are UF, FSU, and LACs.

You are going from 4 courses in 11th grade, only two of which are AP level, to 7 courses, 6 of which are AP or college level. I’d say, that’s a huge jump in quantity and rigor. Also, you are doing a compacted version of Pre Calc. What grades did you get in 11th grade and how much time did you need to study? Will you be able to do well?

@InfoQuestMom Those are just my core courses. I also took two electives and Marine Science during 11th grade. I studied/did homework for around 1.5 to maybe 3 hours per day, but I wasn’t constantly busy. I had straight A’s except for a B+ in Chemistry for first semester and a B for second semester. I also got a B+ in APUSH for first semester.
