So I guess my overall question is, do you think that this sequence I've taken is good, and is my senior schedule too light?

Look, obviously it depends on what you CAN do. If that’s all you can do, let the colleges you apply to know, and if you think it will help, take the highest classes you can.
However, you ARE a senior, so don’t ruin the year for yourself. Remember, senioritis is the only fun disease. (Diehard CCers, please don’t stone me!)

Senior schedule is way too light. If you’ve got three hours off, you can add another class or two. They don’t have to be hard classes but anything is better than looking like a slacker.

Haha, I’m exploring the idea of taking an online Physics B class. But I don’t see the point in sitting in more meaningless blow off classes. I’ve worked very hard the past 3 years. And I don’t think it’s right, given my past 3 years, to be labeled as a slacker by any college.

So I guess there’s general consensus that my senior schedule is not good enough. If it helps any I’ve made the decision to take AP Physics online. Starting it in October.

Oh, wait, you didn’t mean that as a joke? You were serious?

Your guidance counselor will be answering a question on her recommendation form for the Common App as to whether you took the most demanding course of study possible. I’m not sure she can say yes if you take 8 courses your first three years and only 5 your senior year. Why mess up such a good record?

Okay, CC standards are totally off point from real world standards. So folks just need to calm down a little, first of all.

Your schedule is fine, enjoy your year. (Though, I’d stay to stick with the first schedule, not the amended one…) Which schools are you looking at?

Honestly, you should be fine. Maybe add one more class, but other than that you’re golden. No sane admission counselor will look at your workload and consider you a slacker

Actually funny, my counselor changed this year, and my old one was always asking me why I took such a demanding course load. I doubt that

And I am adding AP Physics online starting in November. I may try and do even one more online AP course. I also took US History 1301-1302 at the community college over the summer.

Also, considering that at this point my GPA is over a 100, taking any non-AP course extra could do nothing but bring it down. And by taking random electives just to seem more hardworking I run the risk of getting a lousy teacher, like with web mastering, that’s very unfair and screws me over.
