<p>I am an international student and I am going to apply to MIT this year. In MIT's site it says that we need a MyMIT account to apply online. But if I am applying by mail, do I need it too?</p>
<p>In the past few years, decisions have been available exclusively online through the MyMIT account, so even applicants who applied on paper have needed a MyMIT ID.</p>

<p>We really, really prefer that you apply online. ESPECIALLY for International students (given postal rate differences). </p>
<p>We do understand that some international students may not have the access required to fill out the online application. But really, if you have enough Internet to post on CC, you have enough internet to fill out the application online.</p>
