I am a very good student...I am in 10th grade. I am currently getting all A's and I am in Model U.N also I partake in the French Club and once I am able to get my drivers license I will be volunteering at my local hospital because I want to be an ER Doctor when I am older. I am a very gifted writer and reader I easily breeze through subjects such as english and history without even studying. I have recently decided I would like the attend NYU I think I have a fair chance of getting in there. I am in all college bound classes with the exception of math with I am not that great at. But I do plan on taking an SAT prep course soon and I plan to be in all Honors/ AP next year. Also this summer I am taking part in "The National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine" and I plan to study abroad in Europe next year. Also I hear that NYU bases a lot off of your entrance essay which is a huge bonus for me. I love New York City and NYU is a top notch school where I hope to major in Pre-Med then hopefully get into their medical school. Will I have a good chance at getting in?????

High grades, test scores, etc. will get you in. But can you pay for it?

Do you need significant financial aid? If so, then NYU should be considered a reach due to its reputation of poor financial aid.

That’s a really important question. NYU is very expensive and notoriously poor with financial aid. Medical school is also very expensive, and most medical students whose families can’t just write a check have to borrow heavily to pay for medical school. Can you and your family afford to spend half a million dollars on your post-secondary education?
