I only got $6K in scholarships so I’ll be paying at least $60K every year. Even if I major in finance, get internships and a high-paying job on Wall Street, is it worth all the money?
First off, congratulations on getting accepted!
If you really can’t afford it then the clear answer is no, unless your only goal in attending college is to land a high-paying job at the end, and are willing to put in the effort to do so, since even though finance firms hire from particular schools, it doesn’t mean everyone gets one of those positions.
You may have to weigh in on some other options or get third-party scholarships, and decide what your education is meant to be.
Also, keep in mind that even if you get one of these ultra high-paying jobs, you will be working grueling hours and almost guaranteed to not make over $100K/year pre-tax for the first couple of years.
