Is NYU worth the money?

After thinking some more (god I'm really second guessing/contradicting my posts right now), I've been thinking if NYU is really worth going to if you are not interested in Law, Business, or the arts. These are what NYU is famous for, but take me and how I'm interested in medicine, is it a wise decision to go to NYU, or would it be better to go to a cheaper school, especially since med/dental school debt is a gigantic concern for any med student. Or besides medicine, what about people who like the pure sciences, or engineeering, etc? Would it be a wise choice for them to go to NYU? Let me know what you think :D

Btw I hope no one thinks that I am bashing NYU, because that is not my intention. I'm just asking an honest question and hoping people share their thoughts, just to clear things up.

Pre-med student here, rejected from the 8 year combined degree program. Currently applying to medical schools. It's been smooth sailing since freshman year - the pre-med counselling here is really good. In general, the required pre-med classes are solid, too.

Pre-med aside, I love NYU, but it is not worth full-ticket price, I think. I'm here on scholarship, so it's affordable for me, but if you get no grants or scholarships at all, then I think you'd be better off at a cheap state school.

I'm not really sure what you want to know, but if you have questions, please ask. :)
