<p>Hi everyone! I just want to know your opinions of Oxy's Economics Department, since that's what I intend to major in. Also, is the alumni network at Oxy strong?

Another ancient alum ('82) weighing in here.</p>
<p>The Economics Department at Oxy literally changed my life. The faculty did an absolutely amazing job of making the subject matter come alive, in a non-intimidating small class environment. I doubt you’d get that at Berkeley. I note that the Departmental faculty at Oxy is much larger now, but some of my favorites from the '80s are still there - Woody Studenmund and Robby Moore.</p>
<p>If I’d had a stronger math background I think I would have gone on to get a Ph.D in Econ. However, I did end up a Columbia Law School. So, you can’t really go wrong with Econ at Oxy!</p>
