Is Penn Nursing or CAS easier to get in?

I applied to nursing because I thought it might be easier to get into, and since I am a guy, it would boost my chances. I was waitlisted when the decisions came out, and I realized that I might have made the wrong decision to apply to nursing. My friends told me that nursing is actually more difficult to get in than CAS and Wharton, because their class sizes are so small... Now I feel bad thinking that I might have actually diminished my own chance of getting into Penn, and that I probably would have been accepted into CAS if I applied for it.

So what's really the case here? Is Penn nursing easier or harder to get in than CAS or Wharton?

The acceptance rate for nursing is around 17-20%, the acceptance rate for CAS is around 11-12%. By numbers nursing is easier to get into, however they want to see that you are dedicated to nursing. From what it sounds like, they may have questioned whether you would be a good fit for the nursing school.
