They are different. EMA 201 is statics and Physics 201 is intro to physics first semester.
The classes are considered different. Depending on what specific engineering major you are referring to, physics 201 may be acceptable. For something like mechanical engineering, I think most students still end up taking Statics. For something biomedical engineering, I believe physics can be substituted.
