I would like to know what people think the curve will be for the MAY 5 SAT, but im not sure if this is cheating. Please let me know so i can delete this if it is.

It isn't because no one's score can possibly be affected by it.

Well in that case, what does everyone think the curve will look like?

It depends:

What are curves usually like?

first off, people are posting answer, no one is going to catch you
second, how the heck would that be cheating?

do they curve the essays?

i think the curve is going to be like maybe -1 for an 800 on math. The writing curve is going to be brutal (like if u get one MC wrong and a 12 essay you still get like 760). and i think the CR curve is going to be maybe -1 for an 800

is the writing really that intense? I always thought math was the most brutal

i honestly don't think writing would be that brutal...if anything it would be math, mos def.

what do you normally have to get to be in the 99th percentile?

Writing is NEVER that harsh. -1 and 12 essay is still an 800. Lowest is a 790 for that.

99th percentile was a 2260 for January...i'm guessing itll be around the same/

I thought that the math was particularly difficult for some reason. i definitely skipped one. i am sure that i did not get anything wrong. i usually get 800-780 in that.

writing was very easy i think. i owned the essay. i skipped one in writing and had minor trouble with paragraph things and section 10. maybe 2-3 wrong??

critical reading...after seeing the forums i am confident now because my guesses were correct on at least 4-5 problems. overall CR was medium difficulty.

so heres my sample curve:

CR
67 - 800
66 - 800
65 - 780
64 - 770
63 - 750
62 - 740
61 - 720
60 - 700
59 - 690
58 - 670
57 - 650
56 - 640
55 - 630

M:

54 - 800
53 - 790
52 - 770
51 - 760
50 - 750

I dont know how to incorporate writing into this.

my CR curve might be off by a lot! this is my first post here so bear with me.

someone said -1 = 800 on math??!! If that were true, then i will be so elated! i mean i skipped one question there and felt very doleful coming out of the room. has that ever happened b4 in math?

also, i dont think that -1 + 12 essay would be as low as 760. i mean thats crazy! it was easy true...but not that easy.

just my opinion.

any chance that -2 is still 800 for math or CR?

i thought both these sections were harsh compared to practice tests.

writing was easy, though.

Is there any chance -7 on the math could still end in a 700?

likeatuesday...sorry to say..but -7 means a raw score of 54 - 7 - 2 = 45

it might get to 700...but the curve cant be that bad. i mean sure it was hard but...not that hard.

jt: -2 CR defenitely has potential to be 800. -2 M...sorry but that has a slim chance. i have never heard of even -1 M = 800. but u could get 770+.

any thoughts?

I meant -6 questions. From obsessively watching the threads here, here's what I've found:

4 MC

1 student produced

1 omitted

Which I think is the equivalent of a raw score of a [54 - 6 - 1] = 47... does that give me a decent shot at a 700?
