Is scripps as "holistic" as other LACs?

What is the admissions process like at Scripps?

Since scripps is part of the 5Cs, and Harvey and McKenna are known to focus a lot on SAT/GPA, more so than LACs on the east coast like midd, bowdoin, etc, is scripps’ admissions process similar to Harveys/Mckennas or are they more holistic?

“Holistic” is not a synonym for “let you in with bad SAT/GPA”

@PrimeMeridian thats not what I meant haha, i mean holistic as in taking a closer look at ECs!

Their admissions process is completely independent of the other 5Cs. Google “Scripps Common Data Set” to see lots of info like test score ranges, GPAs, and what they say is important for admission.

intparent’s suggestion to look at the CDS is a good one. It’s interesting to compare it to Mudd’s. You’ll see that they are generally the same in what they consider “Important” and “Very Important”. But, yes, for EC’s there is a slight difference: “Very Important” to Scripps while “Important” to Mudd.

(As for Mudd focusing on SAT as you stated in your OP…I found it interesting that standardized test scores were only “Important” on the CDS)

You can do some of your own comparisons with some of the other schools you are interested in.
