So, I can't go out and spend money on study guides, and I'm not able to go to my local library right now, so I'm looking for alternatives on the internet. Is Sparknotes a good source? Do you know any other internet study guides that are good? (for SAT, SAT II, and ACT)

Short answer… NO.
How much is it going to cost you to register for those exams? How much will 4 yrs of college cost? How much merit money or other FREE money can you get if you score high on the SAT? And why take both SAT and ACT if you are not going to study for or buy study guides.
But hey, you don’t have the time to go to the library.
But hey, you don’t have $25 for the Blue Book and another $20 for a comprehensive Study Guide like McGrawHill.
smh
and if you search real hard (google) you will find older versions of McGrawHill and Barrons.
but hey, you don’t have the time for that either!

If spending $50 on couple of good books has the potential of raising your score even just 50 points compared to free online resources, its an awesome bargain. The hard part is reading them
Use both.

@TomsRiverParent I appreciate you posting & giving advice. I’m not sure if you were trying to sound annoyed or angry, but that’s how I read it. I sincerely apologize if that’s just how you write, but…I get waivers for my SAT & ACT applications. My family is struggling a lot right now, and it’s hard getting by trying to pay bills and such. That’s why I’m trying to find alternatives to spending money. I never said I don’t have time for studying. FYI I study almost all of the time I have that is not spent at school, doing necessities for living, or at all of my extracurriculars. I can’t go to my local library right now, not because I don’t have time, but because gas costs money, and my family is trying to cut back as much as we can so we can actually get by. So please. Do. Not. Assume. Do not assume that I posted here because I was a lazy bum trying to find the easiest way to get through the SAT & ACT. Why would I even post here if I was not serious about my education? I care sincerely about my grades & education, and I am working as hard as I can.

Sorry for the super long rant, but it just aggravates me so much when I read posts like that that criticize & disparage others without knowing the full story.

Thank you for your advice minus the ignorant condemnation parts though. Also, thank you so much for your advice bodangles, SJJunior, and sanwal. I really appreciate it! I’ll try to look for online practice tests & questions. Maybe there’ll be online versions of the review books.

I apologize.
Some people want to cut corners and there is no shortcut to doing well on the SAT. That is what your post sounded like to me. Again, I apologize.
Google. Xtreme Papers dot com. Go to SAT section.
You will find McGraw Hill 2009 SAT workbook pdf. 2009 is same as 2014 version
Google Ultimate SAT website. You will find REAL CB SAT tests.
Go to Khan Academy. 1 practice test and video’s to solve it plus other videos.
Go to Critical Reader website. Lots of information on the website for CR and Write. You don’t really need to buy the 2 books. It also has CB practice tests.
Go to PWNtheSAT website. Lots of information on the website that you many not need to buy the Math or Essay workbook.
Go to SAT Quantum. Video answers to every CB Math question.
Hope that helps.

@TomsRiverParent I know how frustrating it can be to see those people who try to take the easy way out. Trust me. I know where you’re coming from. I’m very sorry for the super long rant. I know you’re an amazing person who is just trying to help others succeed. After all, you’re here answering questions on College Confidential.
I’d like to say thank you so much for the huge amount of resources you’ve listed. It’s more than I could ask for, and they are all amazing and valuable sources. Thank you so much. I truly appreciate what you’re doing.
