Is Stanford extraverted?

I’ve noticed that a lot of the traits Stanford is looking for seem to be extraverted, in a way. The whole entrepreneurial, fun loving, outgoing stereotype of stanford students seem to match this as well. Furthermore, I know quite a few people who have gotten into stanford, and I believe most of them to be extraverted. I don’t have a problem with this, as I’m pretty extraverted myself. Obviously this is not indicative of the entire population, but do Stanford students skew extraverted?

Your spelling of the word extroverted is really bothering me lol.

On Stanford, I don’t think there is any data to suggest whether a school is more extroverted or introverted. You will get all kinds of people. It may be easier for extroverts to reveal their personality in essays, which is helpful for admissions to distinguish people. But all schools are like that. There are definitely introverts at Stanford.

Both spellings are correct.

I heard it described as type A.

They definitely tend to be social well rounded people with a lot of experience talking to others. Their communication skills are probably helped by being in all those ECs that got them in- Debate, Student Government, Volunteer Work, Team Sports, etc etc.

However, I don’t think quiet students are at a disadvantage at Stanford, nor are they a rare breed.
