I have been practicing for math 2, but today I realized that my calculator is not allowed (classpad330) and I don’t have access to any other calculator. So I have to change my test to math 1 because it doesn’t require an advanced calculator.
Just is taking a math 1 for environmental science major too bad?
thanks
Most colleges that either require or recommend Subject Tests would rather Math II over Math I. I would recommend asking a friend from school for an approved calculator or just buying a new one to take Math II, especially because you have been studying for that test specifically. Because you are a science major, Math II makes even more sense.
If you will have completed precalculus and trigonometry by the time of the test date, it is best to take Math Level 2.
@ucbalumnus Yeah I have finished every part of it. Just I don’t know if they allow me to bring that calculator.
@ryanordy88 Do colleges emphasize a lot on sat subject?
@mer377 Not really from what I have gathered. I do not know how much they are weighted exactly, but they are definitely have less weight than the SAT I/ACT, essays, or ECs. However, they can definitely help your application significantly if you do well on them.
