Is the acceptance rate for online education the same as on campus education?

I’m looking into applying to schools to continue my education online through colleges like Boise State, Indiana University, Ohio State and other universities like that. I’m not looking for Phoenix or Full Sail University.

I can’t find any information on the online acceptance rates though for any of the schools unless I Googled wrong

I don’t know the difference in admission rates for traditional and online schools but I’m sure there’s competition between online schools. US News & World Report ranks online universities as well and this is its latest rankings <a href=“http://www.usnews.com/education/online-education/bachelors/rankings?int=b88eac”>http://www.usnews.com/education/online-education/bachelors/rankings?int=b88eac&lt;/a&gt;
I think you’ve already zeroed in on your schools, I’m leaving you with some more options to think about: <a href=“Education – Orange County Register”>http://www.ocregister.com/education/&lt;/a&gt;

And if I were you I would send an email to the schools that I’m interested in asking them about their acceptance percentage.

For a good school, the online education will be treated the exact same as the on-campus education. Make sure it isn’t easier to get into the online campus, because if so, the education could be less rigorous.

Probably the more important question is if the online program admissions requirements are the same as for on campus. Some universities are not listed in the US News & World Report online universities because their online programs are not separate from their on-campus programs. All applicants are considered together, and though the acceptance rate may differ due to number of applicants for online vs on-campus, the criteria are the same across the board.
