^^^^ Are you saying go to Michigan for full price because it is different time?

correct, “it was a different world” … but today, an undergrad business degree from Ross and a $250k debt does not guarantee your ideal IB position … an MBA from Harvard could!! Go to Bentley, work in banking or consulting for two years in Boston (Big 4 recruit heavily in Bentley - strong alumni) and then go to Harvard BS which “is considerably better” than Ross!!

Have fun in Bentley!!

^^ By Big 4 do you mean accounting firms? You are assuming admission to HBS, which is no cake walk… OP will need very good UG grades, GMATS, work experience, and recommendations…

No job that a Bentley degree can get you will give you the pedigree on your resume to get into HBS…sorry but that’s the truth. Almost no one from a Big 4 Accounting Firm gets in a place like HBS.

No, I’m merely saying that example is invalid. It was much easier to get into Harvard and HBS back then.

businessbeast, go to Bentley, do really well and try Ross for an MBA.

You likely shouldn’t go into debt. It can crush you. I have been in the banking world for twenty years and know all kinds of successful people who went to colleges you never heard of. This rankings obsession is nauseating. School is mostly what you make of it.

seaslipper,

Your posts are really informative and helpful. Just curious, did you major in business at Michigan?
