Is the IYA (Iovine and Young Academy) a good fit for me?

Hey, Im thinking of applying to IYA (I know it’s too late for me, I’ll have to take my chances in fall 2018).

I’ve done graphic design, animation, and audio editing since my sophomore year and am currently an Adobe Certified Associate in Photoshop and Illustrator. I haven’t taken computer science or business classes but am interested in both fields. Also I never thought of how to create and market a product, but that’s probably because i never took a class in marketing.

Should I apply for this program as a freshman? What are my chances? Finally, are there any statistics that show the percentage of applicants who are accepted to IYA? Thanks in advance.

I also took three art classes (including one that had an emphasis in b&w and digital photography), did chorus for a couple years in elementary school, and played the violin until ninth grade. Tbh I didn’t like chorus or violin, but it’s probably because my musical tastes lean toward electronic (glitch hop, chillstep, future bass etc.).

@kangcharles17 Sorry I don’t know much to answer your question but did you take the Adobe Certified Associate in Photoshop CC 2015? Can you tell me how did you prepare for it and how the test was like? I have only self-studied Photoshop CC 2015 through online classes but I really need to take this test this summer.
