<p>it really depends how much weight they put on it. if u go to collegeboard, you can see which colleges use the essay portion for what- like placement, as a verifier for your app essays, or whatever</p>
<p>Err… I heard someone mention that the Writing section was the most “studiable”–which made it the most indicative of college success. I got an 800 in Writing (80 MC and 12 Essay) with no studying at all, so does this mean that people who do not study for the writing and do well are less likely to do well than those who do study and do well? Long term studying is not my strong point, though I seem to do well anyway; I feel this will come back to haunt me when I am in college and the work is significantly harder.</p>
