I got an internship at JP Morgan Chase.... how will this look to future employers when I seek a full time job?

I had some other top choices for this summer and I didn't get them

BTW, this will be my one and only internship before I graduate... I know it's important to get that one good internship before you graduate... what are your thoughts on this? is it a respectable internship at a good firm?

the office is located in the southeast, not New York

If you are really lucky, and do a great job during your internship, they might hire you at the end of the summer and say "come work for us when you graduate," making your senior year that much more enjoyable.

Don't think about prestige, if the money is about the same (internship or fulltime job), who really cares about prestige? Does it make you less qualified because you aren't at goldman sachs? Absolutely not.

To answer your question, we need more information on what type of internship you got. What division/position are you working for? Obviously if you did not get any of your top choices then the best choice is the take whatever you are given. An internship is better than no internship at all.

That's a pretty decent position, it's the back-office operation's side for JPMorgan. Even if you don't want to do that full-time it will be good on your resume.

I thought JP Morgan was the investment banking division and Chase was the commercial banking division....well either way JP Morgan Chase is a pretty prestigious company...but pay...well it's no Goldman Sachs.
