is there a lot of presentations you have to do at liberal arts colleges because the class size is small

anyone know

Does it matter? You will surely talk a lot in small classes anyways. Presentations just give you the chance to talk longer. Suffice to say you will probably have more of them than in larger universities.

Yes. Expect to give at least one presentation–worth 10 percent or less of your course grade–for most of your classes.

would a shy kid do well in a lac

Yes, shy kids can do well at LACs. Shyness also is something that can be overcome, and the supportive, nurturing, friendly atmosphere at LACs can help a shy person overcome their shyness. My S is shy, and is having a very enjoyable time at his LAC. To both of our surprise, during his soph year, he even switched his major to theater after having good experiences in some theater classes he had taken.
