I might be moving to NYS, along with my whole family.
we were wondering if there were any public high schools which my sister can attend nearby the campus...
we're concerned about this issue because my parents want to stay with me AND my sister (but this is not the sole reason we're moving.. so please don't think that my parents are being overprotective=) it's for financial reasons).

i don't know what you mean by "nearby," but in general, i cannot imagine a college campus being so remote that there isn't a public high school in the general area -- where else would the people living in the community send their kids to high school?
and the binghamton campus certainly isn't remote (unless you define anything outside of NYC as remote ;) ) -- it is in the suburb of vestal, near johnson city and endicott, and the city of binghamton itself -- i would think all of them have public school systems that include high schools.

SUNY Binghamton is actually in Vestal. They have an top notch HS and just finished perhaps the most outstanding sports stadium of any public school in New York/New England.

Yeah, there are a bunch of high schools in the very near vicinity, easy driving distance. You've got Vestal, Maine Endwell, Johnson City High School, Binghamton High School (which I wouldn't suggest, because it's got some serious violence problems, I hear), plus a number of others.

I attend JCHS, and it's an okay school. It's great for music and I really like the teachers, but the administration is pretty bad, in my honest opinion. Everything's sorta gone to hell since we got a new principal.

My son graduated from Vestal High School. I have friends whose kids go to, or have gone to, the high schools in Binghamton, Johnson City and Endicott. PM me if you have any questions I can try to answer for you.
