I've seen all the fields that I can take at different schools, but is there somewhere that I can find what areas the majors actually cover and what jobs can result from studying them?

If anyone knows of anything, I'd really, really appreciate it.

Each school has (or should have) a website for each of their departments and/or majors, in which they'll explain what courses are offered, etc. and what the major is focused towards.

The Princeton Review has a great site for majors/careers. It has helped me out quite a bit. You will have to register to access the site, but it's free...and worth it.

How majors correlate to jobs is different than you may think. most people's majors don't lead to a job in that field. generally, if you want to work in the field in which you majored, you want an advanced degree. This is not always the case, but commonly so. If you want to know what you can do with various majors, try searching the internet for "what you can you do with a degree in ABCDE?" lists.
